sirquack Goldmember More info | Sometime the firmware includes fixes to issues in previous firmware. Sometimes it rolls out new features for the camera. So you have to read the release notes to see if it is something that is worth doing. If you are having an issue that the firmware says will be corrected, then it is a good thing. But so far, my use of Magic Lantern would be impacted by going to new firmware and the Magic Lantern features are light years beyond anything in the Canon firmware updates. Name is Ron.
