I have $6400 in gear insured with no deductible for $144 a year. Can you give me an idea of what this insurance is called and who you use? This seems like a pretty good idea. I have mine through nationwide insurance. It is called an inland marine policy. It is not attached to my homeowners policy so there is no deductible. 6D | 5D4 | 24-105 f4L | Sigma 50 2.8 Macro | 17-40 f4L| 135 f2L | 70-200 f2.8L ii | Sigma 35 1.4 Art | Canon 24-70 ii

sirquack Goldmember More info | Talk to your home owners insurance agent. I have mine attached to my home owners policy and since I do make a little money on the camera, it is a "Business Policy" and it is about $15 a month and covers all of my gear due to loss, damage or just about any way you can mess it up, no deductible either. Name is Ron.

If you have it attached to your homeowners policy I would make absolutely sure that you are not subject to your property deductible and also that it covers your property away from your home in the event of theft or loss. Most homeowners policies specifically exclude business ventures. 6D | 5D4 | 24-105 f4L | Sigma 50 2.8 Macro | 17-40 f4L| 135 f2L | 70-200 f2.8L ii | Sigma 35 1.4 Art | Canon 24-70 ii

sirquack Goldmember More info | Thankfully the agent is a friend of mine and since it is a business policy I don't have a deductible. He was able to combine it with the coverage I have on the room in my home that is dedicated to my business endeavors. Name is Ron.

Lbsimon ...never exercised in my life More info | Apr 29, 2016 20:11 | #5412 I have the 7DII and the 6D. While I take the 7D II for birding, for all other trips I take the 6D. What would be a point of having this camera if I don't take it with me, particularly on a one in a lifetime vacation. It went with me to Paris and Moscow, Italy and Spain, and it will go with me to Greece later this year. Of course portability is important, so for travels I only take the 24-105L lens. It is wide enough and long enough for most of traveling.
