Well done. I personally would prefer the black frame all around rather than top and bottom, or no frame. Great pic tho'!

I have mine through nationwide insurance. It is called an inland marine policy. It is not attached to my homeowners policy so there is no deductible.

Thank you! I think this is the route I will take.

Talk to your home owners insurance agent. I have mine attached to my home owners policy and since I do make a little money on the camera, it is a "Business Policy" and it is about $15 a month and covers all of my gear due to loss, damage or just about any way you can mess it up, no deductible either.

If you have it attached to your homeowners policy I would make absolutely sure that you are not subject to your property deductible and also that it covers your property away from your home in the event of theft or loss. Most homeowners policies specifically exclude business ventures.

Thankfully the agent is a friend of mine and since it is a business policy I don't have a deductible. He was able to combine it with the coverage I have on the room in my home that is dedicated to my business endeavors.

I have the 7DII and the 6D. While I take the 7D II for birding, for all other trips I take the 6D. What would be a point of having this camera if I don't take it with me, particularly on a one in a lifetime vacation. It went with me to Paris and Moscow, Italy and Spain, and it will go with me to Greece later this year. Of course portability is important, so for travels I only take the 24-105L lens. It is wide enough and long enough for most of traveling.

I have an insurance which is a rider to my homeowner's. Not business, and still no deductible. In fact, recently I dropped my 70-200 f4 IS and broke the IS. Got a repair quote from Canon, and the insurance sent me a check for the full value of repairs.
