I love the high ISO capabilities of the 6D. I have been shooting a lot of high school indoor band photos for my daughter's band and flash photography is banned. Sitting high in the stands, I have coupled the camera with a Sigma 70-200 and 2x teleconverter, which does give some soft focus, however, I capture the moments.

Here is the drum battery at the end of the show and my daughter during some movement. Thanks for looking!

Go indoor drum line! I played snare in high school and college marching band, but I always loved playing quints/tenors also!

It's great that you can get some close-ups of your daughter playing.

Thanks! I never learned but always wanted to be a drummer. It's cool that she does it. When she was doing outdoor, I was able to be near the sidelines and get close ups with just the 70-200, but I can't be anywhere close to the floor during indoor.

I also forgot to mention that I have a second 6D with a Tamron 28-75 for my wider, full-floor, shots. The parents love what I get and share with them and it's nice to see the kids share my photos on their social media.

All great but to me the B/W stands out. For some reason the monotone conveys the power of the wave face to me.
