Ok, I think I have this sorted.
I set up C1 for my 85mm 1.8 - AV, Auto ISO, minimum shutter 1/125, focus on the rear.
C2 for my 135L - AV, Auto ISO, min shutter 1/200, focus on the rear.
My 35mm f2 IS doesn't need any min shutter setting, so I'll just shoot that on AV.

This 50mm usually collects dust, but again my 35mm is in the shop getting fixed. Rear focusing works fine on all my lenses but the 50 - the 50 doesn't have manual override.
My nephew took a 3hr nap, so I did some reading.

Looks like I may want to overexpose slightly with this camera. My 5d seems best underexposed.

I was in the same situation as you last year. Came from the 5D to 6D. In your previous post, I agree about the AWB. The 6D adds a lot of magenta to the WB and doesn't seem to handle warm colors that well in general compared to the 5D. I feel like the 6D files need a lot more post work (insert argument here) than the 5D also.

I use Auto ISO a lot when I am running around shooting a wedding or even shooting outdoor portraits as the sun is going down. It's a nice safety net when running and gunning. This was one of my favorite features of the camera (combined with the low light abilities). Of course, I will mess around with it manually often too.

So I'm not crazy, haha. I really do hate messing with lots of buttons and settings, and the 6d certainly has a LOT more than the 5d. I am getting used to it, however. I know I'll be much happier when my 35mm f2 IS returns from Canon (It was delayed because they needed parts). I will always miss the simplicity of the original 5d, and I'm not convinced the 6d is better - just different.

Nope, you're not crazy, I completely agree. They both have their strengths and weaknesses.

5D - way better colors (particularly reds, yellows, and oranges), simple operation. Great image quality. Great skin tones. Great bang for the buck. Low light situations can be nerve racking, camera is a little sluggish for AF and general operation.

6D - great low light ability. AF feels more surefooted, accurate, and faster than the 5D. Auto ISO can be pretty handy, but wish it would allow you to go up to 1/500 second minimum. Battery life is outstanding compared to the 5D. Deals better with artificial lights than the 5D. More MP makes the images seem a bit sharper. Cons: AWB doesn't do well with the Magenta/Green tint balance. Warm colors seem brownish and muted.

If I could get the 5D's colors with everything else the 6D offers, I would be very happy! With that being said, I will probably be buying 1-2 5D bodies for outdoor portrait sessions this year. 6D's will be used for indoor sessions and event work (where it shines).

Here's another one - I've had the 6d for maybe two weeks now? I hit the rev-limiter...EVERY DAY. 1/4000th is garbage. Sofa-King annoying.........!!! My EOS film cameras with a max shutter of 1/2000 are annoying, but it's film so I don't ****. Keep the 25k ISO, give me 1/8000.

Yep, I hear you there too! I was shooting a wedding Saturday - cloudy and I was shooting at f1.4 at ISO 100. Was hovering right around 1/3200 to 1/4000 the whole time. I backed it down to f2 to keep it under the limit. With the 5D, I could have shot ISO 50 at 1/8000 and had two stops more leeway. Oh well. The 6D is an amazing all-rounder. I could always buy a 2-3 stop ND filter.

I was a little disappointed at first coming from the 5D. Over time, I've learned a lot and have grown to love the 6D. I had to reset my editing style and that's probably the biggest hurtle for me.
