Thanks for sharing. The best thing about shooting hockey is all the light the ice throws back up to you.:-)

I don't post in this thread much although I read it. I use my 6D paired with the 5DIV when I shoot live music. I think the 6D is really well suited for this. ISO 4000

I'm glad you're happy with yours. There's a lot of things to like about the 6D, but it's not perfect for me. Lucky and I have just been spoiled by the 5D files. Cool colors (greens, blues, etc) are great out of the camera, but I'm finding it hard to get the warm colors right as I edit. That's a problem if you're doing mostly portraits at golden hour. Sunlight never really looks as golden as it did out of the 5D - it always looks just straight yellow or brownish yellow.

Apologies for resurrecting an old post, but I felt I had something to add.

I too notice that colours from the 6D are slightly cooler than those from the 5D (i've had both), however, that's the only difference. All I need to do is add one notch towards the yellow side of the warmth slider in LR to correct this. That's it.

Having said that, since I bought my Tamron 24-70 2.8, I haven't needed to do this very often. It's almost like having a slightly warm CPL permanently fixed to the lens. Colour-wise, all I do now is knock the vibrance up a bit (+5).

I don't miss my old 5D at all, now. It was a great camera, but the 6D surpasses it in every way as far as IQ is concerned.

This is a great "journalistic" shot. It really tells a story.
