View south east towards Murrays monument from Glentrool visitor centre, Dumfries and Galloway. 6 frame stitch. Absolutely loving my move North of the border.

I totally hate AutoISO of the 6D. It always choses a low speed and I get many blurred shots. I have to either use Tv or M to get a speed high enough for the focal length i'm using. My old Rebels did a better job.

Plus, I like the pics of my old 5D a lot better!

Do you mean shutter speed instead of ISO? ISO is the only thing I usually allow the camera to choose. The 5D was an amazing camera, but I think you are comparing apples to oranges. 5D geared towards professionals at around $2,500, 6D was entry level FF & cost me $999 new w/ a canon battery grip.

The only complaints I hear about the 6D are from people that have previously shot FF. When you go from crop sensor to 6D as I have, people are usually impressed with the images. I still own and use and old Rebel & a 7D. The 6D images blow these images away!

I went from 5Dc to 6D last year, no complaints about image quality. :-) The only things I've noticed is generally putting +1/3 EV on the 6D (usually left the 5D's EV alone). The 6D tends to default to 1/focal length-ish, near as I can tell, for auto ISO, but you can set it manually in the menu to a fixed shutter speed. Auto-sensor cleaning is worth a lot!

It chooses speeds a bit less than 1/focal length that many times is not enough for a steady shot. I'd like some more speed available and i cant set this in the menu...

We had a nice, cool evening & the wife wanted to go for a ride in the countryside. I grew up in this area & we always joked that these critters always knew they were on private, protected land. The pheasants are basically tame, you could "hunt" them with club. They are raised nearby on grounds owned by owners & members of the local clubs. Then released into fields and woods where members hunt with their dogs. The lands are private but the roads are not. I could almost just drive up & grab one through an opened door. The deer population is also regulated, more deer/bucks introduced than are harvested each year.

I always choose the minimum shutter speed manually because the camera ALWAYS gets it wrong...! If I'm shooting my 135mm I will choose a min shutter speed of 1/250. 1/125 is too slow and there's nothing in between. I have enough cameras at this point where I don't focus on the negative bits anymore. Just work around it. The weird magenta hue doesn't bother me so much anymore as I can always just use a different camera.
