That figure isn't scary, but your post processing made it that way. Haha. Great job!

I've had this lens 2 days and love it already. I was worried about some of the negative feedback of this one at f1.4 but mine seems to be a good copy. :D

I have one, and another non-L, the 85 1.8. Both are great lenses. The reviews on both lenses are great. Some people would like to dismiss them because the build quality and heft are not L. Performance-wise, I fee they're damn close to the L versions. I bought my 50 from a friend that said what do you want this toy for? Well, to fill in between 2 L zooms I have, and as one of my faster lenes. I don't use it often, but have no qualms doing so if neeeded.

There's something about this lens and its bokeh rendering (sometimes nervous, other times awesome). I guess it comes down to how contrasty and cluttered the background is but when you remove those two aspects and get close enough, the bokeh is amazing.

Generally, water in general is the perfect backdrop if you want to blast away the background (with a normal lens).

There's a bit of tilt shift effect going on there. I like it.
