I can see it happening on the rim, but it's not apparent on the original, so I would not consider that major. It all depends whether you want to blow up that area of detail, when moving in would eliminate it anyway. Since it's so localized on the rim itself, and no other parts of the image, I think you could dismiss it. If it was also revealing itself on the edge of the car body, the tires or the fence, then I would see that as a problem.

Nice car though!

My 50mm does the same thing on high contrast areas of a photo at 1.4. I Don't worry about it. I think this lens just does that.

Do the rest of you find the same thing happening?

Andy, what exactly are we looking at in that second shot? It looks like a sand sculpture, but way too big!

By Dutch standards, that one is tiny compared some others posted here (external link) in Scheveningen, Netherlands.

More here (external link).

It was a Sandcastle competition with a Disney theme. They really were works of art!
Two more shots, the first is the top of the one behind the Elise:

I wish. Sadly I can't fit kids chairs, buggies and the other assorted junk that we have to travel with in one. ;)

I love the Panerai! I have a few shots of my 005 with this lens. I will have to post them soon.

Your Black Seal looks brand new. Very nice

The 50 is a great watch lens...
