I actually can't say. I just learned the 50L we have (co-own with my bro) had some focus issues, or so that's what Canon says. I was finding the focus was hit or miss and micro adjusting wasn't helping so we had sent it in. Should be back soon.

If it comes back and performs better than this, then it's a winner by all means. However, I don't find the 1.4 all that sluggish or lesser cool to use though.

The only clear win the 50L has is the bokeh quality. Much more smooth.

I can see myself using this lens leisurely.

That was my younger sister in my shot.

i currently have a sigma 30mm 1.4, but its to wide for me, going to buy a 50mm, but questions is, should i go for the sigma 50mm or the canon 50mm?
