Its a vastly underrated lens and I put it (IQ wise 90% of what my L's are) Put it this way... I got rid of my 50L to get this lens. IQ is hard to tell between the two honestly. The L is "better" but only marginally. I got this because it hits focus almost all the time, where the L didn't.
