I don't usually give long captions and descriptions for my own photos, especially for this project, but I have to for this. You see, I was sitting at the edge of the basement fountain at Ngee Ann City, Singapore, when I spotted this girl. From the first moment I glanced at her, she seemed different. Her actions... her speech... they all pointed towards what we label as "special needs" people. But as I sat from a short distance away, observing her, I realised that she was just like any one of us. She had a loving family who was by her side all the time, just relaxing at the fountain. She ate the same food that they did, and she conversed with them, albeit slowly, but like any one of us would. Sure, she might be different, but at the same time, so are we. So if we can accept each others' seemingly more "normal" differences, why shouldn't we open our arms towards these "special needs" people? After all, they are still human. A curious glance at me. Three frames photographed, one chosen. A connection made, just like with any one else.

Just picked this up from another member here. Pretty impressed so far with this lens. A couple of the first shots I took of this just having fun with the 1.4. My apologies to the original photographers, but I just picked a few random examples from this thread to point out the problem: Now, these may be bad examples and influenced by the exposure in general, but I still think I see it way more often than I should. Seems to be especially prevalent in low light conditions, and made worse by high ISO.

Mine was front focusing just a bit, and at 1.4 that made it look quite a bit off.
