1Ds Mk2 - sensor cleaning specifics

Is there any specific dos/don'ts to cleaning the 1ds2 sensor?

Don't use wets?
Only use static cleaners?

Need some advise here, aside from sending in this many years old camera for cleaning, I need to get the sensor much cleaner then just using a rocket blower....

I just use Eclipse fluid and a sensor swab....gets the job done just fine.

+1 on Canon Bob's advice.
I use Eclipse fluid and it works well. Sensor cleaning is not rocket science and sensors are pretty robust. Use your Rocket blower first (in case of any fine grit) and then just go gently and only use one drop of Eclipse on your swab and you will be fine. If there any stubborn deposits just repeat the procedure until they are gone.

Okay, so maybe I'm a hillbilly photographer but on my 1DMkIIn ... I'll blow in there with my breath (that's right) with the opening pointing down so anything loose will fall out. If that doesn't work I'll use a new Q-Tip (yeah, I use 'em in my ears too. Shame on me). Five years with this method, I shoot 99.99% outdoors, and I haven't damaged anything yet. (and my ear drums are also intact) If you don't see spots on your images, then it's clean enough. It doesn't require 'scrubbing"!
