I suppose the title of this post puzzled some folks. The meaning of "Heir Apparent" is the one who will inherit all, the reason I posted the Bullfrog with the upcoming tadpole-frog. When the big frog is gone, the tad will replace. I knew from the start the second pic wasn't as good the first one was. I guess it was just a feeling of the moment. Replacement comes all of us, whether we like it or not.

Then I got it all wrong. I took the title as a clever allusion to "kiss a frog, get a prince" stories. The frog is in line to inherit the kingdom, although he doesn't look like it.
