This was a shot that I didn't think I was gonna keep, but then decided to work on it and this was what I got. How else can I improve?

Good focus, considering that there's a great change in distance in this swinging subject. Her expression draws in the eye. I'm not a fan of chopped off tops of the head, however. I think you could crop a little of the wasted space on the right. The rule of thirds is more of a guideline than a rule. As a matter of fact, her face is a little off from the third axis anyway.

Yea was hoping the cropped body parts and off-angle would highlight the fact that it was an action shot. Which I'm guessing doesn't work well? This was actually an accidental shot as it was difficult trying to lock focus on the subject.

Nice shot, always difficult with a moving swing to catch the focus point - you have done well.

Bill.

i really like this shot. the only 2 things that I would say could improve are the the distracting dark line going through the middle of the background and her face is just a tad dark for my tastes. But again I say I love this photo!

Thanks guys, will take note of all the CC. BTW the line in the middle of the frame is where the sandbox meets the concrete I believe.
