Thanks, Henk.

Unfortunately I just shut down my computer and I’m in bed now with my iPad. I can post a new pic tomorrow but if you all don’t want to wait, I’m totally fine if someone else takes over.

Good morning.

This will no doubt be an easy one so I would like the exact location from which I took this (as more roads than one lead to Rome).

WAIN?

Peek could be right. But Diemerzeedijk? Not quite.
There’s a clue in the pic and in what I wrote.

I think Nigel is right, Levina. According to Google the Diemerzeedijk runs along Peeks place which located at Diemerzeedijk 35. When in front of Peeks shed you get this view on Google Earth which is similar to your photo.
It was before the bridge and new suburb was built but I used to visit Peek for business so know the general area and it is definitely Diemerzeedijk.

Ah, but I was not on the Diemerzeedijk, Henk. Look more closely at the scene.

My initial thought was that you were on the A10 perhaps in an Amsterdam traffic jam but the angle didn’t look right. I also thought you might have been on the roof of Amsterdam University but that didn’t look right either!

No, not on any roof or in a car, Nigel. I was standing with my two feet firmly on the ground. I think you are taking it too far. The answer is really right in front of you, especially now that you have Henk’s Google Earth pic as well.

In the words of Robert Frost:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,

Although there is no wood here…
