The building is called "Trentham Hall" I think. But as the bell tower is in the picture as well I would think Trentham Estate - the name of the whole complex with garden hall and whatever - would have been sufficient.

No Henk, Trentham Estate was not enough - I wanted the name of the building. However, Trentham Hall is correct, so it's all yours.

That seems fair enough. I would have sworn it was the Orangery. But memory is a funny thing. My memory had the clock tower free standing with no buildings in front of it!

EDIT: And thank you Roy. I have just realised it was more than forty years ago! Thanks for reminding me of a school visit from pre-history!
