There's a whole lot of these guys around here, and they are not afraid of people.

Taken on a stroll along a wooded trail not far from my home (in a rather densely populated suburban area)

- Nobody can hunt them around here (heard anecdotes of deer migrating from state lands to suburbia during hunting season, although I am not buying this)

- Plenty of parks / wooded areas

- Deer culling is unpopular with voters

and generations upon generations of deer who grew up in these conditions.

I see deer hit by cars all the time, the population is exploding.

Yes us too, I have a small heard that now live in my back yard. I think they believe mr wolf will leave them alone here.
