Thank you :-) The bird photo you posted is amazing - love the details in the feathers. I've not been to NZ, but was amazed at the variety of birds I encountered in Australia.

OhLook, your first is quite a rough texture but even your smooth photo shows good texture :)

Ricardo222, beautiful texture of a Tui's neck feathers to my satisfaction also!

svizzerams, that was a beautiful set of textures :)

First some info......
There are two hurricanes hitting my area in the next 4 days (can you believe 2 in a row?). So I may be a bit late starting next weeks group.

However there was extreme calm before the storm, so I ran out and grabbed this for the topic, while its still there..

Hmm, not a satisfying degree of detail. I may be the only one here who doesn't have a DSLR.

Great texture pictures, everyone!! I have to say, I really like the water picture, svizzerams.

Here are a couple from me.

A lot of texture in the buffalo hide...

Enough texture in the buffalo hide to give me an impulse to scratch behind its ears!

The gate looks partly burned or something. Was a design burned into it?

The wood had a protective sealant on it and it has chipped away over time creating this design.
