Too far away, but I'm posting these anyway

Just because I found them interesting. The interesting stuff almost always happens just too far away to get great shots

I think birds do that on purpose, Ian, do cool action stuff too far away...
Nevertheless, great shots. And they look so angry there in the last shot, especially the bird on top.
Love the second shot; he's really putting his heart and soul in that shake!

They are still really cool shots nonetheless.

Thanks Levina, I think you're right, they calculate your lens focal distance then cavort 20' father than that.

Love that last one IAN! Lots of symmetry and emotion in it. Yes, the branch is somewhat distracting but it plays on the scene more than if it was missing, IMO. Keep em coming.

Read the title and thought, "Why, Ian?" And then looked at them and had my answer!

Lovely shots Ian, nice to see environmental shots for a change.

Great series Ian! Such a difficult bird to capture too. Not all images need to be 'up close & personal'
