So normally, I just shoot with my 100L and a 20mm tube. I find using all 3 quite irksome and often frustrating. However, decided to persevere with it and came out with 3 images.

100L, 3 Tubes. Normal exposure details of f/10 @ 1/250, ISO 250 and flash.

First 3 are not cropped at all and are hand held.

Syritta Pipiens - about 7mm in length

Tiny little fly - about 3mm in length.

The detail in the eyes is remarkable! Great series.

Thanks all :). Might be tempted to go 3 tubes again from time to time :)

Perhaps earlier in the day when the bugs are a big more docile and perhaps the monopod. Almost passed out from holding my breath for too long just trying to get these in the frame haha.

The tubes work great, Ian and I don't think the detail could be improved much, even with an MPE.
