Nice to see a color pic of the moon instead of all those BORING b&w ones all the time! Don't get me wrong...the b&w photos are excellent, but they get to be redundant after a while. JMHO

Thanks mate. I like the colours
These were bought out playing in camera raw. Lots of sliders that do cool things. Then finished off in CS

Great picture. I think shooing off full adds a bit of drama.
I am just learning to shoot the moon. Would you be willing to post your shooting parameters?

Thanks,
Steve

Most (if not all) of the moon shots that you see in forums are color shots. Very rarely do people convert a shot of the moon to strictly black and white in post-production. All my moon shots are color shots even though they appear to be black and white...and this is the case with most of the shots of the moon out there.

Take my shot for example...this looks like it is a black and white, but it's full color. This is what most of the moon shots look like when people post them. They are not black and white photos, but full color. I barely edited this in post, so it's natural and how it looked to my eye that night.

I really like the way the Moon looks here, good job! I'll have to try playing with the vibrancy on my next moon shot, thanks.
