But I won't give up! I decided to try using my 70-200 lens again instead of the 400. Ruby Throated Hummingbirds.

Thanks Bret. I was having issues with the focusing distance of the 400. Had to use extension tubes. This way I can get closer, get better hopefully, and then go back to the 400!

Very cute!! I love hummingbirds! Ours in our last house we so friendly I had to use a 100 to get them!! Crazy little things!

Thank you! That was amazing that you were able to use a 100mm lens. Tracking them with a 400 was quite challenging. The shorter lens was much easier.

Thanks John. Any other year they buzzed around me like I wasn't an issue...this year, not so much. Maybe because there are fewer of them. I have at least 3. To save time, I now hide in plain sight with the use of a portable blind.

Thank you very much Ian. Practicing for perfection! The flowers are Salvia, the color is Vista Red, and yes the color is intense, not enhanced!
