The investment in a professional digital world would requires a different business model, staff and training. When and if it makes good business sense to change, then that is the time to do it. Most professionals who have gone to digital have done it for good business reasons. It wasn't an emotional thing - or 'cool', it was business. I would predict that few will still be in film in 10 years, however. The expectations of the customer base will demand it and expect it. The few that remain in film will do it for artistic reasons. http://www.barbsmithphotography.com

I know alot of pros that are not switching to Digital for their own personal reasons. however each of them knows that eventually they will, they are all waiting for their own personal moments. Currently I am and it really makes me think what i want in each shot. Because its going to cost me money - I don't like to shoot over and over until one out of 100 comes up good!
