The Beartooth Mountains - Montana. This was taken on the Beartooth Highway that connects Cooke City to Red Lodge. It is one of the most scenic drives in the United States, and takes you over 11,000 feet high.

Nice shot. You must have been there close to opening day. Except for the glaciers the snow's mostly gone now.

We were over there in JULY 2003 and they closed the road for 3 days because of snow.

Back when I only had a point and shoot for holiday snaps.

Great picture of a tough area to do justice to with a camera! There's so much to see in every direction and the enormity of the views is impossible to capture.

Highly recommend taking this route if you are in the area, it's a fantastic ride!

After some pizza at the Miners Saloon in Cooke City, we took off and took the ride the day the road opened :)
