2014 Canadian Amateur Golf Championships

This past week saw the 2014 Canadian Amateur Golf Championships played at the Elmhurst Golf and Country Club in Winnipeg, MB.

I was shooting the event on behalf of Golf Canada.

The Winner in a 3 way playoff after 3 additional holes was James Beale of New Zealand with a -6.

Very strong set. I really like the varity of shots.

Very very nice set. It's a shame you couldn't have taken number 5 from in front of the golfer but it is still a very good shot. They are all seriously good.

tennfan, I use Canon 1d Mk IV's, one had a 70-200 2.8, the other have a 300 2.8. the shots I posted were a combination of lenses. I think 1,4, and 7 were the 300L, the rest likely were the 70-200.

2bluesfan, Yah would have loved to get that shot from the front, but given the position of the other players in the group getting in front would have disrupted play, so I chose to grab the shot from behind, I really liked the way the grass is stuck around his club....
