Just got my godox ad360 last night. I have the yongnuo 622c trigger/receiver. This morning I was shooting indoors at a shutter speed of 1250 and it was working fine. Getting my things together and I thought I would take a test shot of my son. Now, my 5d mark iii wants to sync at 1/200. What changed? I did put a new battery in, but, I cannot figure out what setting I changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

you need a trigger that supports high speed sync to get it all to fire the way you want. And yes, the tx could do the job.

If you want HSS/FS on the 360 using a yn-622 you need to use the sync cable. The 360 only has one pin and for the yn-622 go to HSS you need 3 pins.

a sync cable would be cheaper! What would I be missing out on?

You need to tell the camera that the ad360 is an ETTL gun, it'll not allow a manual flash to fire at over the sync speed. The TX transmitter will allow it OK, and is the easier option anyway, the camera menu is a PITA.

You can trigger in HSS with either the 622C or the 622C-TX. Both support HSS. Just hook your 360 to your remote 622 receiver with a sync cable as Scott mentioned and it will work fine. Even with the 622C-TX on the camera you will still need a sync cable connection between the receiver unit and the flash.

You will need a Yn-622 on the camera and a yn-622 for the 360 =2.
The one being used on the 360 has to be plugged in using a sync cable. You can't mount the yn-622 on the 360 hotshoe.

If you mount it on the 360 hot shoe yn-622 will not go into HSS.

The Godox Cells C II is no longer being produced just a heads up. If you can buy one online line get it now, because there will be no more being made.

Is this possibly an indication that Godox is in the process of revising/improving the FT-16 trigger or do you think just a sign that the Cells II wasn't selling well? A revised FT-16 that could natively support HSS and remotely activate H mode on the flash unit would be a very welcome thing indeed.

Probably just wishful thinking on my part. ;)

I visited cheetastand earlier this week and the reasons that the Cells II is being discontinue is having to do with copyright issue and nothing to do with supply and demand.

Also, we did testing with the 622n for Nikon and the 360 and the 180 has to be in the HSS mode with the 622n attached or you will see the curtains....

Happy Shooting:lol:

Speaking of, since you've got one, could you check how large the reflector dish on it is? I'm thinking of getting a grid for mine (which I don't have yet) but don't know which one to get. It'll probably be this one (external link).

Not sure if you were doing this or not but I did it so I'll share my experience. I was shooting and getting high speed sync without the ad360 being in hss mode. But it's only with the flash set to 1/1 power. Only way to do it at other power levels besides at 1/1 is to have it in hss mode and a compatible flash trigger. I was using Pixel King triggers MKI version (NOT King Pro model) connected directly to the hotshoe and with the 3mm cable. Hope this helps!

HSS is rapid firing of the flash tube for the duration of the shutter travel. What you observed is the tail of a single pulse.
