I don't have a style, I'm just happy to be able to try now and then! As you know, I am a huge fan of your work...and these are beautiful. I so appreciate the fact that you, Bret and so many others here, are willing to help the rest of us, to try and perfect this amazing hobby.
Sandy, you have a style, you have yet to discover it. I am honored by your kind words. The bottom line for me is to give back to the love of bird photography as many have and done and do for me. I can't speak for Bret but I would venture to say he does too.
Thanks Big John.

You guys are awesome! Curious about the high ISO-light not as good as it appears in the shots?
Rog, I am not sure what you are asking. I hope my reply answers your question. When I photograph hummers in good to great daytime light, my ISO ranges from 800-1600. Most of the time I shoot at 1250-1600 ISO. I am very comfortable photographing at 1600 ISO.
Higher ISO allows me to get faster ss. IMO with faster ss, you get better total detail within a depth of field. There was a time years ago in high end cameras where high ISO meant more noise in the image. Not so today.
Lastly, PP, if there is more than acceptable noise, a good NR program applied selectively takes away the noise.
