I'm shooting my cousins wedding in September and we got together to do a quick (real quick) photo shoot the other night. I'm pretty happy with what I got but would like to improve on it for the wedding in about a month. Any advice from some more seasoned pros would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

IMO
I think your doing a great job as far as your pic quality. The only thing I see, and this may be part of your processing or even my phone screen, is a magenta screen on 1&3 on the skin..

Besides that I'd say is more of interacting with them and their party. You have the quality in the images just keep em going to get them awesome shots.. I love the one with the sunset shot and how it's all OFF.. I think it works here! and 5 is very nice IMO..

Good luck at the wedding..

Nice images the 2nd seems a little soft or maybe thats the look you were going for. The images of her in the white dress are really nice.

Thanks guys, shooting against the sun was a little difficult to get correct focus sometimes. A few of these are a bit softer than I would like but glad they still work. I'll have another look at the tint, appreciate it!

Nice photos. The thing that really stood out to me was they in each one they, or she, is in the center of the frame. Vary your composition a bit, and use your camera in landscape orientation as well. This helps with your "rule of thirds" framing. Now, just because it's a "rule" doesn't mean you HAVE to follow it, but it can make you photo composition a bit stronger.

Nice job overall. You mentioned some of the photos are a bit softer than you would like. I think sometimes we get too caught up in super razor sharp images. While sharp images are important, sometimes softer ones work great. A perfect example is your last one. It's doesn't appear "tack sharp" but it works beautifully! Keep it up.

Thanks Rivas, most of what I shoot is landscape so I struggle a lot with composition and posing of people. I'll just have to look at a lot more portraits I like to get a feel for it.

Ken, the first thing she said when we reviewed photos is she forgot to take off her watch. This was pretty impromptu and we only had a few minutes of light for her to change and get back down in her wedding dress. Sprint to the finish!

Thanks guys, I don't want to make the same mistakes twice. Especially not at the wedding

Your posing isn't bad. I'm just referring to orienting the camera in the landscape orientation instead of using it in portrait orientation like you have here. Shooting in landscape can help with composition. There are uses for both orientations while shooting portraits of people.
