They are increasing the size of a large lake at Shelby Farms park (one of the 20 largest city parks in the country, about 4500 acres) and have drained most of it. They relocated as many fish as possible to other lakes, but apparently there's still a lot left for the birds. They have installed a 6 foot fence around the lake property so there's no way to get closer, but thought others might appreciate seeing some of the large group of birds feasting on all the leftovers. This is about 1/3 of the birds. There are also a lot of vultures circling the area too.
