My 70-200 will not mount to my 1dx. All other lenses mount to the 1dx no problems. 70-200 mounts to my 7D. I have checked all screws, even tried forcing it. Even tried a "Quick/fast" mounting. Any ideas?

If your 70-200 was manufactured after 2012, you may have remove the small flux capacitor near mount. It's small but you could see it with a flash light. :)

Also, can you check the slots on the mount if they are bend in any way? I never had a lens that couldn't mount to one camera and but not the other.

Are they flushed together when the red dots lined up?

Can you take a pic of the mount?

This is strange.

OK!!!! I'm the worlds biggest BAAAAFOON!!!! My Tripod adaptor plate (on the lens) was set to far back on the lens foot!!! Lets keep this a secrete... DAMN nice scratch in the "Grip" now!

Thanks Sonnyc! For your quick troubleshooting tip!!!

I tried everything! Checking all the screws, comparing the gaps in the mounting "ramps" on 3 different lenses, even went to the closet and tried the lens on my old 40D! It's the simple things in life that get ya! Wow...move the plate forward! Haha.

I hope this makes you feel better. I did the exact same thing with a gripped 60D and Sigma 70-200 OS. I had just purchase the lens and was setting it up on a tripod during a summer cookout. Friends, neighbors, the whole nine yards. I spent twenty minutes, mounting and dismounting several lenses on two cameras. I could NOT get the camera to mount! It was quite embarrassing, to say the least, when I had to announce that I was, indeed, a complete and total imbecile. My wife was not surprised.
