I cringed when I heard the word "forced" in combination with 1Dx.

Well... it was a controlled force. I had the same with Tokina 17-35 mounting aswell. It just took a tad bit more torque. Very tight still.
What is a "Title Fairy"?

Look under your user name to the right of ALL of your posts. You'll get it then.

HAHA I get it now!!! Think I'll leave it that way, just so I can always go back and remember to SLOW DOWN and pay attention! The plate was/is about 4" long installed in a hurry mounted on my non-gripped 7D.

I'm afraid that only the TF can make changes to your Title. You have to tread carefully around the TF, she can be less than nice to people at times.

Yes I seem to recall saying that something would make a good title (referring to someone else) and naturally ended up with my own suggestion. The avatar was also added in a similar way (although it was someone else s suggestion).

High Speed Continuous, I switched my new (to me) 50D to that on Sunday at an airshow. Wow!!! That seemed really quick after my 300D and 20D's not to mentions the Autowinder M for my old Pentax ME Super. Didn't really help with getting two aircraft (Red Arrows BAe Hawk T1A's) passing in opposite directions to coincide. But at a closing speed of 600 Kts (1000 fps) thats still something like 150 feet of relative movement between frames.

OMG. What has it been now, 7 years of relentless torture? All honor to you for holding up under it.
