Spider..

In search of a cricket that was keeping me up this morning, I found this guy (he's dead). The spider was right behind the cricket, so I assume he was about to kill the cricket? Needless to say, I was surprised when I found this all. Under a sheet in my bedroom.

Please ignore that dog hair. I tried to remove it with some tweezers, but it's really stuck in there.

Used my Sigma 70-200 with 25mm extension tube along with a speedlight bounced into a umbrella on the left and bare flash at a low power on the right.

ID question. Is this a Wolf Spider?

Good one - not sure what it died of but that's a rather frightened looking spider

Nice capture, and for future reference, wolf spiders are harmless to our kind
