Thanks for the positive comments Red & Butterfly. Getting good bird shots involves a lot more then luck I have found . The learning process is fun and rewarding. [most of the time] All the great shots on here are inspiring and motivating to get out there,,, and get more and better and more interesting shot then the ones i got the day before.

Very nice shots, and a great way of looking at photography! I have learned more about photography, and especially about bird photography right here on POTN, than I could anywhere else. Plus the great people here love to interact on a daily basis with helpful tips, comments and critiques!

2 excellent captures keeper!
The Towsend's is especially nice with very nice clarity and fine feather detail, and although I see the buds on the trees the colors strike me as being very fall like.
Love your male "Downy" as well for the contrasting black, white, and red; although you should consider the possibility that this guy is a Hairy.
