I was wondering if anyone knows of any charts where tests were done determining the sharpest aperture for these lenses?

No, I'm looking to experiment with some focus stacking for landscapes and trying for ultimate sharpness. I figure it's most likely around f/8 on both lenses, but wanted to see charts to check it out Facebook-- http://www.facebook.com/AndrewShoemakerPhotography

I have always set my aperture for the DOF I want in that shot and it is what it is. Yes, I do the same, but I'm wondering for focus stacking purposes. Just a little experiment I'm playing with on a landscape Facebook-- http://www.facebook.com/AndrewShoemakerPhotography

snake0ape Goldmember More info | Aug 13, 2014 13:08 | #7 The 24-70ii is amazing because its pretty sharp throughout the aperture range. If I had to choose sharpest, then at 24mm, use f4, and at 70mm use f5.6. 5Diii | 50D | 8-15L 4| 16-35L 2.8 II| 24-70L 2.8 II | 70-200L 2.8 IS II |Tamy 150-600 | Σ35Art 1.4 | 40 2.8 | Σ50Art 1.4 | 85L 1.2 II | 100 2.8 Macro | Helios 44-3 58mm f2.0 |Helios 40-1 85mm f1.5 | 1.4x & 2x teleconverters

Perfect! Thanks Facebook-- http://www.facebook.com/AndrewShoemakerPhotography
