From a recent trip to Alaska. Most are heavily cropped; couldn't get close enough, even with the Tamzooka. Still, awesome birds to see!

That must have been a great experience Moose! Good job shooting them. Boy, that last guy really was skimming the rooftop!

Good ones, Brother Moose, and congratulations. We have so many bald eagles around here that I don't even try to get shots anymore unless the light and proximity are perfect. Having said that, every time I see one, I am reminded what magnificent birds they really are. Good for you.

Always great to have those in your album. Well done! Think #1 is the first time I've seen a BE w/o that intense stare.

What a wonderful opportunity Moose; and it looks as though you took full advantage!
Love the detail you managed to capture in the perched image in #2; and the beautiful IF capture in #4. I would add to your comment on the last that maybe that Eagle needs to have it's altimeter checked and reset :)

Very nice set LV, really like #4. So glad for you making the trip to Alaska and you did well even if they were staying far out. Look kinda big compared to those Hummers you shoot so often don't they?

To be sure. But your comment made me imagine a hummingbird-sized raptor. How cool would that be? I can actually picture it in my head... a hummer with the head and talons of an eagle (sized appropriately, of course). Makes me laugh :D
