Lovely shots. Soon they'll be heading to Mexico. Used to see a lot of them on their way South when we lived in Houston.

Thank you Betty.

You guys are so lucky to have these amazing birds in your gardens. Great set of shots Ian.

Thanks Red, they are fun to have around for sure.

I knew you'd be back Ian!
Their seasonality makes them all the more the prize and you managed some more prized images. I really like the unique and almost awkward postures these guys manage as in #1; and BTW I hate you for still having good looking Bee Balm, but I'll have hummers here through mid-October :)
Love the variable wing positions you've shared too. It took me a second or 2 to figure out the "halo" effect in the last until I had a "duh" moment that they do still have 2 wings. :) Hope you get a chance to bring us some more as they are always great.

Thanks as always Steve. I had to look twice at that last one too ;)

Awesome as always Ian! Your photos always inspire me to work harder and improve my skills. The hummers have even inspired me to wok on my gardening skills too. I have planted allot if their favorites. Hopefully it will pay off and I will have many great photo ops over the coming years. The whole set is beautiful 1 and 3 are my favorite. These little birds show so much personality!

Thanks Carol, you're very kind. I need to get more plants in the ground too, and this is a good time of year to do it!
