I now own a Canon 60D with a 70-300 L series that I use mostly for motorsport
photography. Looking to maybe upgrade to a 6D. Is there enough difference to jusify an upgrade or should I keep saving to upgrade higher. Any help greatly appreciated.

jay125 the title fairy put me in therapy More info | Aug 14, 2014 20:37 | #2 First question is what is the 60D not doing for you? The 6D is an amazing body, however the frame rate is a little slower, 4.5 fps, than what you have with the 60D, so that is something to consider as you shoot action. The 6D is pretty capable for shooting sports, which has been documented in many threads on the forum. Your current lens will shine on the 6D, but with a little less reach, but you can adjust for that as well using your feet. So back to my original question...what is the 60D not doing for you?

That will make a difference in the reach, but with the 70-300 might not matter as much as if you are shooting with shorter glass. Take that into consideration though in your evaluations.
