I posted this on Reddit's EarthPorn subreddit the other day and it got downvoted. I know it's not the most interesting picture but I can't figure out for the life of me why it would get downvoted. Is there something I'm not seeing?

As for downvoting this picture, my guess is that it's just not particularly interesting.

It has potential, but at the wrong time of day. Try upping the contrast a bit or coming back closer to when the sun would either be rising or setting in this part of the sky.

No good subject, boring, lacks feeling....looks like a snapshot. I'd downvote it too.

Since this is the critique forum my observations.
It definitely lacks a main subject. If you had composed a little lower and included more of the rocks at the bottow it might have helped. As it is, there is a tree kind of poking up dead square in the middle and you don't see all of it, or much of the rocks at the bottom. The trees entering the frame on the right and left are not in good spots either.
And as others have said, the sky is actually kind of boring. Like that you have clouds, but the clouds don't have any colors that add to the composition.
I wouldn't necessarily down vote a shot like this, but I would not really look at it for very long either.
Keep at it and I am sure you will find what people actually like eventually.
