Aug 15, 2014 18:47 | #3 I'm asking because I put m 60d away about 3 months ago with the lens on. Camera switched off. Camera didn't power up, but it did so with my second battery. The only thing I'm not sure of is how drained the battery was when I put it away. _______________

Aug 15, 2014 20:45 | #6 If you're really worried about it, just flick the SD card door open when you put the camera away. My old 550D/T2i used to mysteriously drain the battery when stored for a week or so, but opening the card door solves this

Gripped Canon 7D,20D,XT / Tamron 17-50mm 2.8, Canon 85mm f1.8 , 70-200 2.8L,EF50mm1.8 II,Sigma 150-500mm OS, Sigma 105mm 2.8 Macro, Sigma 10-20mm 4-5.6
