Picked up my Rovelight this weekend but the 28" glow Softbox was not in the store but in the warehouse so waiting on that... i did some test runs with it, HSS works fine with my youngnou transiceirves, I'll be using it with.

the transceiver i got with it doesn't seem to work at all... lol

Does the transceiver you got not work for HSS as mentioned in the second posting of this thread or is the transmitter broken and can't you change any setting with it?

The youngnou works fine... i'm referring to the transceiver that came with the rovelight, the little cheapo one... it was DOA.... lol with the Youngnou i Can trigger the light and use it with HSS, =, but not change the opwer output or turn on the model lamp without having to actually walk to the light.

I'll need to physically walk to the light and change the power settings etc

Check the battery and there is a small reset button inside the battery compartment that solves most of the triggers problems.

i only plan on using HSS for those super bright sunny days in spring, not for action.... so it will be far and wide... i love shooting with my 135L @ 1/2000th wide open. lol

Can some of you guys post some of your results?

All with HSS.

I bought a spare from photogadget almost right away. Much cheaper than buying a spare from Adorama.

Snapped these today... Yes today (Super Bowl Weekend) I used the softbox, but will invest in the beauty dish & grid for more directional lighting control... but all HSS

Jen Es is a fitness and Yoga instructor

I used the lowest setting 1/16th... just enough to blend in with ambient light.

Nice work! Great balance with daylight. What method did you end up using to trigger them?

will the Phottix Odin and a Phottix trigger on the Rovelight do everything without need for the Rovelights weak remote?

This images look great. Why did you shoot in HSS mode because the ambient light was too bright? What settings on the camera did you use?

Thanks
