will the Phottix Odin and a Phottix trigger on the Rovelight do everything without need for the Rovelights weak remote?

No. You will still need the RoveLight remote for power adjustments.

Can anyone confirm the correct PC plug size for the Rovelight? The cords that I ordered to connect my YN622c's (these ones; http://www.amazon.com …age_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (external link)) say that it comes with a 3.5mm adapter but it's too small leading me to think it's a 2.5mm.

Actually, it's strange I just tried the adapter in my Samsung Note2 and it fits. So if it's fits there and the Samsung is a 3.5mm what size does the Rovelight take?

3.5mm

Why don't you search on "sync cable 3.5" on amazon and you will find more compact cables which don't use adapters.

It's a 3.5mm. For the YN-622 PC sync side, get the screw-in male connector. I got mine on eBay for $3. PM me if you want me to show you which one I went with.

Thanks. Mmmmm I'm probably going to order a cable or 2 that don't require an adapter because it just reduces another point of failure. I guess I must have gotten the other adapter mixed up in my kit. I'll have to try this other adapter I found on my desk at home when I get back to the studio.

No adapter needed - it's a single cable that connects to each piece. The screw-lock PC sync connector goes to the YN, and the 3.5mm goes to the monolight. They make a non-screw-lock also, but its about the same cost.

Thanks I know. I was talking about the plug end. I have 6 of the YN cables. It's just that they're all 1/4" plugs.

I received my RL600 last week but the remote isn't working. I've tried the reset button to no avail. I've heard the triggers are pretty terrible so I'd rather just go with yongnuos. Will the 622s work okay? I'm not super concerned over controlling power remotely.

Mine came today. Same problem, the included trigger is garbage. After taking the battery out and resetting multiple times it finally started working. I wouldn't rely on it though. My radiopoppers however, work just fine with it, although there's no power adjustment.

What's even crazier, is they actually sell this trigger on its own for $70.

I've given up on the transmitter and use the YN622c's as well. And I have 2 of them. One of them is a Jinbei from Photogadget as well but there's no point sending it back, it'll cost more in shipping
