Do you have a link to one? I use a 568ex and 622N right now so this will allow me to trigger and control power from camera?
thanks

For Canadians, I received a just-released StrobePro X600 on Friday:

http://www.strobepro.com …o-x600-lithium-strobe-kit (external link)

As far as I can tell, it is the same as the RL 600, but easier to get to my door in Canada, as well as having a Canadian warranty.

Using it this weekend, it has been an excellent light. Crazy how much more power it has than a single Godox v850. I know, I know, welcome to the world of strobes...

Thanks for the link to the Canadian site. With the dollar tanking I'm back to buying in Canada more often since the price difference isn't so dramatic. Yes that light looks exactly the same as the Rovelight. Does the trigger still suck?

My trigger worked fine. I hit the reset button anyways as I removed the little plastic battery saver strip. The trigger is nothing fancy, but works to adjust power and fire. I have used it with the Cells II trigger and it works for HSS.

They mention on the product page that they will be releasing a HSS trigger for it in the coming months.

I love that StrobePro is in Calgary. I order and have stuff next day in Regina!

Hi Nate,

I am in Regina also and would like to talk with you about your StrobePro, can you PM me so we can make contact, as I don't have 20 posts, so I can't PM you. Alternatively, please email me at lewisimages at Sasktel dot net and let me know how I can reach you if you are willing to discuss your experience.

Thanks Nate!

Randy

Just got my Rovelight with Bowens mount. Haven't played around with it yet too much, but did a test of the highspeed sync/hypersync using the Pocketwizard Speedlite hack.
Was able to get up to 1/8000 shutter speed with my Canon 5D Mark III. Worked fine although you do lose light in the process, as is the nature of the beast.
Waiting on my Yongnuo triggers, so I can see about adjusting the flash delay setting with the new Yongnuo YN-622C-TX.

Overall I like it so far. Not as well built or heavy duty as my Photogenic strobes, but for a portable 600w/s light I think it is going to be awesome. Was actually planning on buying 1 more, but decided to wait till I've had the time to put this one through its paces first and make sure it keeps up. Hopefully it will be on sale still.

Only problem I have is that the reflector that shipped with it is bent, so going to email Adorama to see if they can replace it.

Also, I don't really care for the umbrella screw mount. I think it's just plastic and looks fragile. Hoping that my 60" Softlighter II won't break it, incase it gets bumped into.
Anyone know if there is a way to replace that assembly or the entire stand mount? It looks like it is attached to the strobe with 2 screws, so should be easy to replace. Just finding another mount with the same screw size and spacing may be difficult.

Hi Guys, Just opened my rovelight and tested the HSS with my newly brought yn-622c and yn-622c tx. this is what i get:
1) With the trigger on the yn-622c and the rovelight set to HSS, the 5dMKIII will fire the light but no HHS.
2) With the tigger removed and not used, connect the rove light with sync cord to the yn-622c, place the yn-622c tx on the 5dMKIII, place the rove light in HHS fire the camera and WALLAH I get HHS.
problem is why didnt it work the 1st way with the trigger on the yn-622c?
any suggestions. also no need to make any adjustments to the yn-622c tx. works right out the box.

I has no answer for that either. Just place the order myself. Not even get the light yet. But from what I have done the research, that appear to be the case. I already have the YN-622 sets and that the how I plan to have my setup. That said, since what I found doing my research is that the trigger that came with it is a PoS(no need to fully spell it) any way. It may be better to set it up the way you did if you get reliable result and have the trigger in your pocket if you need to make some adjustment to the light power.

well after today's test I think i may buy a couple more of these and a few speed rings. I have Einstein's now and they work great but I love the HSS function of these. Now i wish they had eTTL
