So... I just got mine, but I can't get the remote to work. It triggers optically just fine though. I'm trying to get thru to Adorama, but they're quite busy it would seem.

Do you have the radio symbol showing on the flashes LCD screen?

And the red light is showing on the transmitter as you press the buttons?

If so you may have to check the channels are completely lined up on the transmitter.

That is the correct transmitter you have there.

There is an LED just below the channel dip switches. If you're not seeing that light up every 5 seconds there may be an issue with the transmitter.

You have to hold the On button for a few seconds for the transmitter to turn on. You should be able to see the led at the tip of the transmitter flash as well as the LED just below the dip switches.

If your not getting any LED lights showing it may be the transmitter battery as well. So its worth just taking that out and putting back in, in case its just a contact issue.

Elv, I think you're right. Defective transmitter. I even tried a different battery, cannot get the LED to light. I'll contact Adorama tomorrow.

One of my transmitters is bad as well. Came on once, flashed all lights then died. I left the battery out for about 15 minutes and then it powered on, but won't communicate with the strobe.

I put a (very rushed) hands on review up here (external link).

Its still a work in progress, but I tried to get something up as these are very impressive for the current price.

The current transmitter design is a bit of a weak point for multiple light use, though this what i would do -

(My transmitter is working very well buy the way. Its not missed a beat so far)

wait this transmitter uses a button cell battery for the trigger?? don't most triggers use the GP 23A batteries? (this is more of the pt-04 triggers from what seems to be eons ago)

not all trigger are made the same. My elinchrom and a few of my jinbei gear uses button cells to keep the size and weight down.

This light seems very interesting for on location. But all my modifiers are for Buff products. My softboxes are not a big deal just get a bowens mount speed ring I guess.

Anyone do a pop test with their strobe to see how many full power shots they achieve before the battery dies? There is quite a bit of variances with batteries and it would be wise to see that your battery gets close to the claimed amount before you run out of your return/warranty period.

I got 523 and 474 on the two different test.
