Any way to get the previous $399 deal? Thank you Yes on the Octa... no on the BD. The BD is made just for teh alien bees. I have one. Godox Cells II vs YN622c with Hot shoe PC sync cord? I use the YN-622c as wireless trigger w/o problem, just the sync cord and no need for hot shoe adapter. But I already own few of theose.

But I already own few of theose. Thanks for the link. Flash Havoc says hotshoe adapter to PC stnc cord is neededYou are saying its not needed for HSS, what changed? For Canon, the YN-622C unfortunately require an extra hotshoe to PC sync cord, as the PC sync port on the side of the YN-622C transmitter is where the pre-sync signal is provided. The hotshoe and TRS transmitter are actually just sitting on top of the YN-622C hotshoe here, just as somewhere convenient to mount them. The only electrical connection is through the PC sync cord, not actually the YN-622C hotshoe. This may not look particularly attractive, though the HSS functionality is pretty amazing, and well worthwhile looking a little strange on the camera.

Flash Havoc says hotshoe adapter to PC stnc cord is neededYou are saying its not needed for HSS, what changed? http://flashhavoc.com …-rovelight-rl-600-review/ I believe that hot shoe is for tethering shoot/passthrough, not wireless. I could be wrong, but that is my impression. The way I have mine is 622-tx on my 5D3 and 622c attach to RL-600 via short sync cord. The remote trigger that came with it was not needed in anyway. Still it is wise to keep that trigger on your hand/pocket to uae it as remote to adjuat light power. Even though 622-TX have an option to adjust timing for HSS monolight, no adjustment is needed for me and other who have tried with this setup. If you already have some 622c, I would sugguest you try to do so with this method first, hence a shot pc sync cord is relatively cheap and offer you wireless trigger. The TX model may or may not be needed because there was no adjustment needed on the TX, but I can't say that for sure. Maybe I should try that when I have time, but definitely not this weekend. Too busy with work. The wireless remote solution definitely work with RL-600 in/out of HSS mode. No black bar for me. Since I just got a 7D2 I should test it with this solution also. I need to know the full capabilities and limitations anyway. Perhaps even a short review. That said I still dont have any modifier other than what came with it.

amish Member 194 posts Likes: 5 Joined Sep 2013 More info | Yes, they are transceiver. I keep a ziptie on my battery handles for my RL...B. Just slip the 622C in when I need to use the light and away I shoot, keep the garbage remote local just for making adjustments so i dont have to walk over to the light., but if you ever forget the remote... no worries, just walk over to it and make your adjustments.

May 05, 2015 22:38 | #450 It was hot and windy out but the RL held its ground! The shadows were not completely eliminated but the Rovelight was awesome. Image hosted by forum (726349) © Robsphoto [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff. Happy Shooting
