I think I might have asked this before in here: Does anyone use this lens with a TC?

CyberDyneSystems wrote in post #17547286 (external link)
I haven't yet, but word is that it's disappointing as compared to a Canon or Nikon 70-200mm. In my case that's no big deal as i don't intend to use it that way, but it is disappointing as the 70-200mm in all iterations was one of the first and at one point only zoom lenses that worked well with a TC.
On the other hand, perhaps our expectations have grown much higher?

It was hot and windy out but the RL held its ground! The shadows were not completely eliminated but the Rovelight was awesome.

If you were at HSS wouldn't you of wanted to shoot more wide open to help blur the background and also expose the ambient down about a stop to help remove the harsh lightning from the sun?

I tried not to blur the BG as much as possible, Family flew in from way up North and wanted the lake in focus.

Happy Shooting:lol:

I like the way you used your roller case as a weight for the light stand.

As for Phottix, I notice that all the Sony versions are off their website. Hopefully that means the updated versions with ISO hot shoe are about to appear.

Me likey. I like how the light hit the subject and show the subject figure. Nice dimensional. Too bad there is no rim light on the other side.

Looks to me that the sun is providing the rim light from the other side.

I just meant no rim light to separate the hair and background tree.

Really? I don't think it needs any more separation that it already has. Tones are totally different between her hair and the tree.
