You can call adorama and still get the deal, however you are only able to order the "flashpoint" mount and not the bowens mount.

phone: 888-216-7500
option 1, option 5

Ask if the product sku: FPLFRL600 is still available for the $399 deal. Chances are you will be able to order.

I haven't pulled the trigger as the 5.7lb weight isn't as attractive as the lighter godox 360s.... however i haven't pulled the trigger on the godox because of the quality control issues with their batteries.

Just thought others might want to know.

have you pop tested your batteries to see if you get close to the 450 full power shots?

I have no problems with my Neewer /Godox/Cheetahstand batteries and i get on the average 500+ per battery at full power pops.

No, I never use it at full power! I did use all 3 of my lights at an reception for 7 hours and still was at 3/4 power left......

To get back on point the RL-600 is a good unit and performs well.

Just an FYI. One of my transmitters is bad as well. I was told I can go to the store today and get it replaced.

is the transmitter issue a battery related issue: dead battery vs doa, tried replacing battery and the trigger still didn't work?

In my case, the battery was not the issue, the unit was just DOA.

Mine wasn't a battery issue either. At first wouldn't power on and then after leaving the batter out for about 10 minutes, it powered on, but couldn't consistently communicate with the light.

I got a replacement yesterday.

Anyone know what the difference is between the long and slow recycle time besides the obvious?

It saves on battery life when shooting giving more flashes on a charge, down side it slower recycle times.

I just got one for myself. The only complains I have is the bowen speedring for elinchrom being heavy adding extra weight to the lighting unit.

For the pros:
1. Lighter than Profoto B1, even lighter than Einstein with battery.
2. Affordable (price over feature)
3. HSS 1/8000th confirmed
4. I love being able to fire up and control power of four lighting systems using pocketwizard's flex and mini: Einsteins with powermc2, Elinchrom with powerst4, rovelight's trigger, and speedlite.

Hey all, i just ordered one. I had one associate deny my request for the introductory offer $390ish.. and then i had another willingly give me the discounted price....and i beleive i got the bowens mount. I do have a question. earlier in the thread, there was a statement about needing an extra device to be able to use the head with yn-622c triggers. can anyone expand on this? what exactly do i need? Also, can this head be used in addition with speedlights?

Amish, read the review on flashhavoc. He explains it beautifully.

Got mine today... as mentioned before JoeDamaso, great monolight for on the go.

I tried Hypersync using both YN-622C and CellsII respectively. Worked beautifully with a slight dark gradient on top of the frame (in Landscape). Advantage goes to CellsII trigger/receiver because it's consistently 1/2 stop brighter.
