For YN622C to hypersync, you need a 3.5mm to PC sync cable connected to YN622C receiver's PC sync port.

I have that also, I used the same setup flash havoc used with the canon and the Yn622

I found the problem I have a male to male sync cord, both ports are female on the Yn and my hotshoe adapter. I tried firing the trigger taking it off the YN622 and it wouldn't fire

Its just using the FlashZebra hotshoe to PC sync cord (external link) -

If you don't mount them on top of the YN-622C then is looks pretty simple :-)

Though they YN-622C does provide a convenient shoe to mount them on.

Is the internal 2.4GHz receiver going to become obsolete when they release an improved trigger? I like the clip-on external receivers of Godox as they can be upgraded fairly easily without having to replace the actual unit.

ducatiwv, if you go with pocketwizard way, you simply attach the Rovelight receiver on top of minitt1/flextt5, just like the ac3. No need for all that extra wire on the camera which defeats the overall system simplification. I got mine on ebay.

Triggering with CellsII combo seems simpler and effective.

Here's a sample of Hypersync 1/8000. Notice a bit of gradient.

Loving the light!! Quick and easy to setup. Can't wait to put it to work on the next shoot.

ok.. so my light was delivered today and i am now trying to locate a good sized octobox for this. Any suggestions? I was looking for a fotodiox one as they are rather inexpensive but i cannot find one of the ez-pro type with a bowens mount. anyone got a recommended size yet for the relative power of this head?

The EZ PRO Bowens can be bought either through the Fotodiox site or from Amazon. Though Amazon is currently out of stock of the 48" octabox as I bought the last one they had.

As for recommended size: 600J is really a lot of power, so there's no one best size for this as it will fill just about anything 4x5-foot or smaller (and larger than that if we're talking umbrellas). So unless you're attempting to overpower the sun outdoors on a cloudless day, just pick the size that's appropriate to the subjects you want to shoot; 600J is plenty for whatever modifier you would think to put on it. Just mind the total weight and how much your light stand is rated for.

I like this solution. Simplifies mixing these with the Witstros when needed.

hey all,
in the review on flashhavoc, there is a paragraph and depiction where the hss is supposed to work if you mount the transmitter on top of a yn622c and fire from the yn622c-tx from camera. Am I understanding this correct?
