I just got a notification that they are sending me out a new remote in two days, and a prepaid shipping label to send the defective one back. Great. Especially if the new remote proves effective. I am happy with the rovelight even without the remote so this will be nice icing if the new one works well.

Oops. Did not see Rob's post there before I wrote that.

Just got a tracking number for the new remote. Should be here on Monday. They are shipping out the new ones even before you ship the old one back. I gotta say this is some nice service by adorama they are really taking care of this issue. Well, we'll see how effective the new trigger is I suppose.

I got a tracking too. Did you get billed? For some reason I did and they didn't say why when I asked.

I did not get a bill. If you end of not sending back the old trigger I think they will bill you. Not sure what you got billed for though?

Just for Lurkers with Jinbei HD 600 kit . . .
Version 1 & version 2 recently in this thread refer to Adorama's 'Rovelight RL 600' (& maybe the 'Jinbei HD 600 II').

I believe it is totally separate from the 'V' transmitter that works with 'Jinbei's HD 600 V' strobe, widely available around the world. My 'V' transmitter has worked without any issues at all.

I'm so confused in this thread. Do they work? Which version works? Is this worth the risk? Can these be paired with speedlights? What can fire them if paired with speedlites? yadda yadda. -?

Yes, they work!
To mix with Speedlites, either use Yn 622s or Phottix Odins (my choice). Most people use the included trigger (handheld - and - pre-shot) simply to give remotely adjusted Manual power fraction setting from the camera position - which they do well, IME.

Maybe read this too:
http://flashhavoc.com …ght-rl-600-now-available/ (external link)
noting that Elv means High Shutter Speed when he says HSS - Rovelight/Jinbei does supersync; at least it does with 622s, Odins the TTL PWs or the Cells IIs.

It probably is worth wading through the first 10 posts and maybe the last 20 - but then see some of the great images that some in this forum have used the Rovelight/JinbeiHD600 to create.

I think I changed any reference in that review from HSS to "High Shutter Speed" a while back now.

-

The Godox X1 triggers also have a pre-sync timing adjustment, and I'd say Flashpoint will sell their own version of those in time.

You would still need the original RoveLight transmitter though to remotely change manual power levels.

Is there a code or link needed? I see it on their site at $479 still.
