Happy to report that Adorama took care of the issue and sent me a replacement very quickly. Thanks Helen!

Off topic here, but the above and beyond of reaching out to a customer on a forum and taking care of them is one of the things that keeps me coming back to Adorama.

This might be a dumb question, but what does the dip switch configuration look like for channel 15, the "catch all " channel?

Wow so a user manual for this would be nice.

One was not included in my box and I can't really find one around online.

zzzz
how to use this as an optical slave?

/edit

got it in slave mode

would be nice to have a small manual or something with this

Mine came with a tiny card that was the manual, maybe you missed it? It was adequate.

Forget if mine came with one, but there are graphics on the back of the strobe which show the settings.

Why such a difference in price between the Flashpoint and Bowens mounts?

I'm thinking because you're locked into a proprietary mount. I have Flashpoint strobe already with modifiers that I found on eBay but they've kind of dried up. The only things that are hard to find are beauty dishes and umbrella style softboxes and beauty dishes.

This flash is on sale for the second round arranged by ELV and have a look at the Flashhavoc.com site for the discount code.

When I ordered this two weeks ago they said it's impossible to get the deal again. And now it's back. Wondering if I can get the difference back. Hopefully Helen can chime in.

Kudos to Elvis btw.

Is it possible to modify the flashpoint mount or get a modifier ring?
