Hey guys. Have a question. Going from a 6D to a a7RII and I own a few Yongnuo Canon Speedlights (568EX & 565 which I know won't work in TTL or HSS, only in Manual on the Sony), some Alien Bees & a Rovelight 600 which I use the Yongnuo 622C triggers with a sync Cable to use hypersync on the Rovelight as well as to trigger my Speedlights and Alien Bees. I'm trying to figure out what I need to do in order to use my speed lights on the A7RII and trigger then Off camera, but most importantly I want to be able to use Hypersync with my Rovelight. Do I need to buy Phottix Odin triggers or Pixel Kings to do this with the a7RII, or can I use my Yongnuo triggers? I know some of you on here might have used an a7 series camera with their Rovelight. Just looking for some help on what I need in order to use OCF on the a7RII and hypersync on the Rovelight.

Thanks

How have you been able to figure out that this is a V1 remote? Have you opened it up and compared the antennae or have you gone solely by the writing on the battery cover?

This is going solely based on the information from Adorama, that a V2 will have V2 written on it along with the battery cover that says v2.

Otherwise how would customers know if they are getting a V2? based on word of mouth? or until it gives the same problems as the v1?

Wow. All this with the triggering system is really disheartening. I know Adorama will make it right with everyone. But it still sucks for those who adopted early and are still sitting with the bad trigger. :(

I hope Adorama will fix it.
I submitted for replacement program but hadn't heard anything from Adorama.

I can see where this would be frustrating to those that ordered early. I purchased a RL, received it on 12/06/2015, and it came with the V2 remote. My only guess would be there's an extreme amount of requests, making it difficult for Adorama to catch up.

Its not only that........I signed up for the replacement program and a V1 came in a V2 packaging.

I'm not a lawyer but isn't that false advertisement?

No, it's not. It's disconcerting, frustrating, inept or incompetence, but not false advertising.

Besides the stamp on the battery door, is there any other reason to suspect they are version ones? Mine isn't stamped but it seems to work much better and have better range. I just assume it's version two but it is a bit disconcerting not to know for certain. I suppose if it works you're fine, if not look look into getting another one.

I think they should just forget supplying the trigger with these, ease their headaches and drop the price another 20 bucks. Everyone would win. They could then sell the remotes separately.

This is why I was asking if someone has been able to see the power amplifier or improved antennae on the inside. Maybe I'll take one apart today and see what I can find.

Guys if its any consolation I've let the Flashpoint team know of this thread and issues, and they are looking into whats going on.

Its looking like the customer service are still a bit overwhelmed from the holiday season.
